Who am I?

My Role

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in New York State. I graduated from Canisius College with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My background includes treating anxiety, depression, difficulties with adjustment/change, and stress management. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which are evidenced based therapies that assist individuals with emotion regulation, tolerating distress, developing communication skills, and challenging automatic thoughts.

Who I Work With

I offer therapy services to adolescents and young adults, most specifically women facing difficulties with perfectionism, low self-esteem, and anxiety.

What to Expect from Therapy

Therapeutic Process

Together in therapy, we will work on a chosen area to improve upon. I value transparency from my clients, meaning that if something is not working, I am open to feedback and suggestions. The benefits of therapy can include improvement in mood and coping strategies. However, therapy is most effective when a client practices skills outside of therapy as well. Appointments will be approximately 45-minutes long, while intake appointments can be around 45-60 minutes. Further details will be provided upon scheduling an appointment and within the intake process.

Appointments

To begin, a free 15-minute consultation is offered for new prospective clients. Please visit the contact page for further details.

After our 15-minute consultation, we may schedule an intake appointment to further determine if I can best assist you. An intake appointment is our first appointment that will entail information gathering regarding difficulties that you are having. We will complete a variety of assessments to better understand your situation. Through assessment and evaluation within the intake appointment, we will be able to further determine if I am able to assist you with your goals.

If we both determine that I will be able to assist you with your goals after our intake session, appointments moving forward will consist of addressing the difficulties that are most pressing.

Regular appointments will consist of learning coping skills, obtaining new perspectives, and processing difficulties.
